From Mike Hansen

Jan 9th - Portland, OR - We met up with our boys in Souvenirs at a bookstore in downtown Portland. A friend of ours named Sarah from the night before in Tacoma decided to make the trip to see the show. An incredible thing to do, considering she had about a 5 hour car ride each way. Much love goes out to her for doing that. We got a chance to meet Portland’s own “Muffin Man” who proceeded to heckle us as we walked the streets in search of food after the show let out. Needless to say, he was a very wise, very homeless gentlemen and we wish him the best.

Jan 10th - Reno, NV - The drive from Portland to Reno was pretty cool. We’ve been so amazed by the scenery  along these drives, and this one was no different. Seeing all the lights in Reno as we entered the city was incredible. The show was great, thanks to everyone who put it on at the house we played at, and our new buddy Jim who took us in for the night. Little did we know that Jim has actually been a long-time supporter of Pentimento and Panic Records alike, so it was really cool to get a chance to hang with him. Once we got back to his place, we talked about hardcore until 3 in the morning, and it absolutely ruled.

Jan 11th - San Francisco, CA - The experience of finally getting to the west coast blew all of our minds. At any point during the drive to San Francisco, you could catch us talking about how incredibly thankful and excited we were to have made it all the on the other side of the country for no other purpose than playing punk rock. Once we got into the city, we were instantly taken back by the scenery. We made our way to a small bay area near the Golden Gate Bridge, where we got a chance to soak in the Pacific. We hung out with a pelican that was as big as all of us combined, and got our first taste of California. The show was excellent, and we couldn’t have asked for a better first experience on the West Coast. Our good friend Mark from all the way back in Buffalo just happened to be around, so we met up with him as well as our bass player’s cousin (also from Buffalo) which made the show even cooler for us. We stayed with our friend Jake who’s worked with our label mates TRIAL on past tours doing roadie/merch guy type stuff which was amazing. We’ve been so lucky throughout this entire thing to have ended up in the company of such great people like Jake, Jim from Reno, as well as a bunch of other people who have been kind enough to take us in.
